QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Two Hour Maids sends a team of two to clean your home, on your schedule. Here is what people ask us most.

Who comes to my home?

A team of two people, our own employees, trained by us. Every new hire gets a background check, and we are insured. We teach the same method every time, so your clean looks the same whoever shows up.

What do you use to clean and sanitize?

Each team brings its own kit, with fresh rags, gloves and masks for every home. We disinfect the places hands touch and the places germs live, like bathrooms and kitchen counters. We vacuum with our own vacuum, so you do not need to put anything out.

How long does it take, and what gets done?

Our Two Hour Clean is two people for two hours. In that time we focus on the kitchen, the bathrooms and the floors, the things you notice most. Want us to stay until a full checklist is done? Pick the Checklist Clean. We tell you how long we think it will take before you book.

Can I add extras to a Two Hour Clean?

The Two Hour Clean has no extras. Tell us up to two special requests and the team starts there. For every room on a checklist, pick the Checklist Clean.

What if I need more time?

At the end of checkout you can add an extra half hour for $40. If our team has to leave for another home, we send you photos or a short video of anything left and you can ask us to finish it.

Is there anything you don't do?

We don't wash dishes. Clothes left on the floor get bagged, hotel style; we don't fold, put away or organize. Carpet, air duct, car and window cleaning are seasonal and come back in the spring.

How much does it cost?

You see one flat price on the booking page before you pay. No surprise add-ons. Our goal is a fair price for regular homes, not a luxury price tag.

Do I have to sign up for a plan?

No. Book one clean, or book as often as you like. Recurring cleans cost a little less, and you can change or stop whenever you want. Pick a day that works and we confirm it by text.

When can you come?

Pick a start time: 9:00, 11:40 or 2:40, each with a 30-minute arrival window. Same-day cleans when a team is free, up to an hour before a start time.

What happens on my first Checklist Clean?

Your first clean is a triage clean. The first is the worst: we're learning your home, so we get as much done as we can. Anything on the list we can't reach is saved and done free on your next visit.

Do I need to be home?

No. Many customers leave a key or a door code with us. We keep access details private and only share them with the team on your job.

What about my pets?

Tell us about them in your house notes, and please have them in a crate or a closed room while the team cleans.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancel, skip or reschedule more than 48 hours ahead for free. Inside 48 hours the fee is $50; we waive it for a first clean, an illness once a year, and loyal customers. If our team cannot get in at your start time, the same $50 applies unless it is your first visit, you let us back in that day, or you reschedule right away.

Is my home safe with you?

Yes. We are insured, and every new hire gets a background check. Need proof of insurance for your building? Just ask and we will send the certificate.

What if I am not happy?

Tell us within 48 hours of your clean and we will review it. On a Checklist Clean, if a room on your checklist does not meet your expectations, we can come back to fix it or refund the part that was missed. The Two Hour Clean is a fixed two-hour service and is not eligible for re-cleans or refunds.

Do I need to tip?

Tips are optional and go 100% to the people who clean your home. We absorb the card fee.

How does Buy six, gift one work?

Every 6th clean earns a free clean to give a friend, automatically, forever.

Where do you work?

We clean homes across the Twin Cities. Type your zip code on the booking page to see open times for your area.

Do you clean offices and other businesses?

Yes. Facilities by Two Hour Maids cleans offices, medical and dental offices, retail stores, gyms, schools and daycares, churches and apartment common areas. Start with a free walkthrough: see Facilities by Two Hour Maids.

I manage rental properties. Can you help?

Yes. Property managers book unit turnovers by text and track every building and request in a private portal. See Property Manager Portal.
